I'M READY TO LEAD
After many years of working as an activist and volunteer for multiple political campaigns and voter engagement projects, I have decided to run for Chairperson of the Democratic Party of Racine County this coming November.
I believe that I have the experience and skills required to grow our county party and build upon the good work of previous party leaders.
I am creative and organized. I have built a solid track record of success and collaboration. Most importantly, I am unafraid to stand up and protect the values of the Democratic Party.
The coming year is crucial — we must reelect Tammy Baldwin, grow our bench of local elected officials and ensure that Donald Trump never again becomes President of the United States.
In April, I began the process of redesigning the DPRC website and revamping our social media accounts — which have resulted in more followers and greater engagement with the community. I have redesigned the signage for our campaign office, created new marketing materials for party events, and designed two new county t-shirts. At the state convention in June, I was elected as Vice Chair for the Progressive Caucus of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
I have been working with other party members to clean out and organize our office and redo the front window — making them feel fresh and inviting. My goal is not just to prepare our office for election activities, but to use that space for party-building events and activities on a more regular basis.
After nearly eighteen years of service, there isn't a job or task that I haven't done. I have provided you highlights of my political and community engagement activities over the years on my ABOUT page. Thank you in advance for taking the time to look over my qualifications.
NOTE: Only DPRC members in good standing will be permitted to vote on November 15th. To determine if your membership will expire prior to the election, please contact Jim "Doc" Poplawski at: [email protected]
The deadline to join or renew your membership is midnight on November 9th. Please go to the WisDems WEBSITE to complete your membership registration. It is advised that you bring a copy of your ActBlue membership confirmation email with you on election day to ensure your ability to vote.
I understand what the job of Chair of the DPRC requires. I have the experience, skills and support to do it successfully. I can't wait to get started!
Exact information about the time and place of the election on November 15th will be announced shortly. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
I would be honored to have your vote for DPRC Chair.
